On an official visit to the Republic of Peru, Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza held a fraternal meeting on Wednesday with the former President of Honduras Manuel Zelaya.
The meeting took place in Lima, after attending the inauguration of President-elect Pedro Castillo.
The Venezuelan Foreign Vice-minister for Latin America, Rander Peña, also attended the meeting.
Former Honduran President Manuel Zelaya participated as an observer in the parliamentary elections held on December 6, 2020, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, where the political alliance Gran Polo Patriótico (GPP) won most of the seats in the National Assembly with 67.6% of the vote.
