Venezuela expresses its solidarity with the Vietnamese people in view of the intense rains in their territory
The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, on behalf of the Venezuelan government and people, extends his most sincere words of solidarity to the people and government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in view of the severe floods suffered by that sisterly nation as a result of the passage of tropical storms Linfa and Nangka, which have resulted in the unfortunate figure of at least 110 fatalities, including Army officers in the line of duty; damaged homes, infrastructures and crops in the six provinces located in the coastal area of central Vietnam.
The Bolivarian government and the Venezuelan people convey their deepest condolences to the families of the victims and express their wishes for the speedy recovery of the people who were injured, while at the same time honoring and extolling the work of those who are carrying out humanitarian rescue tasks in the affected area.
The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela is convinced that the brave Vietnamese people will overcome, with the effort and determination that characterize them, the consequences of this natural disaster, under the wise leadership of the Government and the Communist Party of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
