Venezuela categorically rejects the injurious approval of the Law H.R. 1918 by the United States
The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolas Maduro Moros, in the name of the Venezuelan People, strongly rejects the detrimental approval of the H.R. 1918 Act, Nicaragua Investment Conditionality Act, known as the NICA ACT, signed on Tuesday, December 11th, by bipartisan decision of the US Congress.
The approval of such detrimental interfering instrument by the American Government, against the sister nation of Nicaragua, tries to coerce and condition the international financing from multilateral organizations to the Constitutional Government of President Daniel Ortega and Vice-president, Comrade Rosario Murillo. It is an obscene maneuver seeking at disturbing the economy and affecting the social and productive investment of the country.
The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela expresses its absolute support to the Government of National Unity and Reconciliation of the Republic of Nicaragua and reiterates our friendship and solidarity as fraternal Peoples, united under the compromise of consolidating Our America’s unity.
