In order to promote tourist and commercial exchange between Venezuela and Russia, this Monday, May 3, the State airline Conviasa inaugurated its Caracas-Moscow route.
The inaugural flight from the capital of the Eurasian nation arrived at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía “with 90 Russian tour operators, including journalists and investors”, reported the People’s Power for Tourism, Alí Padrón.
The activation of this route was agreed by Venezuela and Russia since their last High Level Mixed Commission, held last February.
The direct flight, whose frequency is expected to be fortnightly, also seeks to promote business, social and educational exchange between both countries.
Conviasa already makes international connections with Bolivia, Cuba, Chile, Ecuador, Panama, Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Iran.
Last month the airline reported the expansion of its international air cargo flights.
Mexico, Russia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Afghanistan, Thailand, Malaysia, China, India and Turkey are among the countries mentioned by the airline.
