The Presidential Commission for the Commemoration of the Bicentennial of Independence, through the Simón Bolívar Study Center, launched today on the media the call for the Carabobo XXI International Forum: The Challenges of Independence, which will take place in the city of Caracas from June 16 to 18, 2021.
This call is aimed at historians, chroniclers, researchers, teachers, professionals and students interested in memory, history and heritage, in order to promote a space for meeting and collective reflection on the independence struggle and the Carabobo Campaign as a history milestone of this process.
The Carabobo XXI International Forum: The Challenges of Independence is sponsored by the National History Center, the General Archive of the Nation and the Network of History, Memory and Heritage, institutions and social organizations dedicated to the field of history at national and international level.
The reception of applications to register both in the mode of speaker and participant will be open until May 31 through the portal www.memoriasdeoleary.com where you will find all the information about this event.
For the Venezuelan State, the memory and rescue of national history, especially that where the patriotic feat that gave rise to the formation of the independence of the Republic from the Spanish yoke is remembered, is part of the cultural and educational management; hence, the legacy left by our heroes after almost 200 years after the Battle of Carabobo is so important.
