92 Venezuelans who return from Ecuador with the Plan Vuelta a la Patria bet on family reunification

Amid endless emotions and mixed feelings, a group of 92 Venezuelans boarded this April 28 a flight of the Plan Vuelta a la Patria bound for Caracas from the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador.

The repatriation day was prepared several days before; the Venezuelan diplomatic mission located in the Ecuadorian city played a fundamental role in the registration and organization of compatriots.

In this way, from very early in the morning the compatriots were transferred to the José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, which serves the city of Guayaquil, where they complied with the corresponding protocol for their departure in the afternoon.

Finally, around 9:00 PM (HLV) the plane of the state airline Conviasa landed at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía with the nationals on board.

They were received by a delegation from the People’s Power Ministry for Foreign Relations and guided until the PCR tests were carried out to diagnose any possible case of COVID-19.

Family reunification was the protagonist in this new day of the Plan Vuelta a las Patria, in which expressions of joy and hugs were immediate.

To date, this repatriation program has returned to the country more than 24,000 nationals, from Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Italy, Uruguay and Spain.
