Venezuela, Mozambique move forward with technical, university training

With the aim to move forward with the cooperation between the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela and the Republic of Mozambique in technical, university training, the President of the National Institute of Socialist Training and Education (INCES), Wuikelman Ángel Paredes, held a virtual meeting on Monday with Mozambique’s Director of the Scholarship Institute, Carla Camboa.

At the meeting, organized by Venezuela’s Ambassador to Mozambique, Juan Carlos Fernandes, the authorities highlighted their countries’ common interest in technical training in areas such as tourism, agriculture, mining and forestry.

In this regard, the INCES president outlined the different training modalities of the institute that guarantee learning objectives, highlighting the premise of philosopher and educator Simon Rodríguez’s pedagogical thinking: “Learning by doing.”

“The sum of the contributions of participants in the training process, whether they are students or teachers, is driven by a sense of belonging to solve concrete problems in productive processes (…) Technical education and professional training, as we see them, represent a real dimension that makes life possible and makes it move,” said the Venezuelan official.

Paredes explained that the design of INCES programs is aimed to meet the aspirations of the populations.

“In addition to the needs for technical training, we also address the aspirations and the collective construction of values enabling to develop or support an inclusive socialist model,” said Paredes.

The INCES president celebrated that the African nation “is thinking of Venezuela and INCES for quality education for the Mozambique’s youth,” and expressed his “will to welcome those who come here for training.”

“We have fields of study, a method, an approach, and we want to ratify Mozambique’s Scholarship Institute our will to grow together and exchange technical education,” stressed Paredes.
