Venezuela receives supplies from China to prevent COVID-19

The People’s Republic of China is setting examples of solidarity in the world. This time, the Asian country sent 500,000 KN95 facemasks to contribute to the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic in Venezuela.

The KN95 facemasks were donated by Chinese company Meheco, and they were received by the Venezuela Ambassador to China Félix Plasencia, who is following a commercial agenda in the city of Guangzhou.

Ambassador Plasencia pointed out that thanks to these biosecurity supplies, the Government of President Nicolás Maduro is guaranteeing the protection and health of the Venezuelan people.

Likewise, the Venezuelan diplomat highlighted the leadership and commitment of Presidents Xi Jingpin and Nicolás Maduro as fundamental in order to consolidate the China-Venezuela Comprehensive Strategic Alliance with tangible results in different areas.

Noteworthily, this bilateral cooperation mechanism was established in the face of Venezuela’s difficulties to procure the necessary medical supplies to fight COVID-19 as a result of the unilateral coercive measures imposed by the U.S. Government.
