Venezuela sends humanitarian aid for storm victims in Bolivia

The Government of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela delivered on Wednesday 700 kilograms of humanitarian aid for the families affected by a recent torrential hailstorm in Chuquisaca, Bolivia.

The supplies arrived in Bolivia on a special flight of Venezuela’s Conviasa airline, explained the Minister of People’s Power for Foreign Affairs Jorge Arreaza on his Twitter account.

The Venezuelan Ambassador to Bolivia, Alexander Yánez, was in charge of delivering, on behalf of President Nicolás Maduro, the cargo to Bolivia’s Vice-minister of Civil Defense Juan Carlos Calvimontes to provide care to the storm victims in Sucre Department.

At the event, Ambassador Yánez praised the spirit of solidarity and cooperation that unites ALBA-TCP members Bolivia and Venezuela under the principles of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace.

In that same vein, Vice-minister Calvimontes thanked the Venezuelan people for this gesture and ratified the Bolivian people’s will to build the Great Homeland.
