76 Venezuelan nationals return from Guayaquil on Christmas Eve via Plan Vuelta a la Patria

On Wednesday morning, December 23, a Plan Vuelta a la Patria flight from the city of Guayaquil, Ecuador, arrived with 76 nationals who requested to return to Venezuela on Christmas Eve to reunite with their relatives and friends.

The flight was provided by Venezuela’s Conviasa airline from the José Joaquín Olmeda International Airport in Guayaquil.

The Venezuelan nationals who requested their return to their country were stranded due to sanitary contingency measures adopted amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Others requested their return as they were facing a situation of vulnerability due to health, labor and economic reasons.

The Vuelta a la Patria Plan, unprecedented in the world, has guaranteed the return of more than 21 Venezuelans from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Cuba, Panama, the Dominican Republic, Uruguay, México, Martinique, Bonaire, Spain, Italy and Belarus.
