President Maduro receives credentials from Belarus’ Ambassador to Venezuela

President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, received on Monday the credentials of the new Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus to Venezuela, Andrei Leonidovich Molchan.

The ceremony took place in the “Sol de Perú” Hall at the Miraflores Presidential Palace. Venezuela’s Foreign Minister Jorge Arreaza also attended the ceremony.

The representative of the Republic of Belarus was former Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the Republic of South Africa and Concurrent Ambassador to the Republics of Angola, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Namibia from 2011 to 2017.

Prior to his appointment as Ambassador to Venezuela, he was the Chief of the Department of Tourism of Belarus’ Ministry of Sports and Tourism, a post he took on in 2018.
