“It is necessary that the countries that defend peace are activated and make the United States Government understand that, in the midst of a pandemic, no one can explain why is there a resurgence of criminal persecution against noble countries such as Cuba, Nicaragua, Syria, Venezuela and other sister nations”.
In this way, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, urged the governments of the world to demand the cessation of the multiform aggression (diplomatic, political, economic and military) of the White House, whose “excess seems to have taken over the Americans elites”.
The dignitary indicated that the United States “has become the most significant threat to global peace,” an example of which is the support of the Donald Trump administration for terrorist and espionage maneuvers in Venezuela.
“It is a daily siege that we have been facing, denouncing, unmasking one by one,” he said, while underlining that the civic-military-police union was key on defeating the destabilizing operations that also have the endorsement of the Government of Colombia.
On behalf of Venezuela, he reiterated full adherence to the principles of respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and non-interference in internal affairs, the guiding principles of the UN Charter and International Law.
