In this regard, Minister Rodríguez emphasized: “if this was a strategy to sow anxiety and violence in Venezuela, then they were wrong about us because everyone (those who enter through the border) is going to notice their mark in order to avoid precisely situations of disorder and discomfort and the sowing of violence in this process of arrival of our brothers and sisters”.On the curfew, he explained that in the case of today “the curfew is imposed from 8 at night until ten in the morning of this Tuesday (April 7), there can be no circulation of no people or vehicles; and from tomorrow the curfew will be from 4 in the afternoon until 10 in the morning”. Regarding the people who are going to enter Venezuela from Cúcuta, “they must comply with a series of requirements that help us take care of them”, he said, referring to the aforementioned schedules, including the measure of fingerprinting, as well as the tests of antibody in blood and the respect of a quarantine of at least 14 days.
Bolivarian Government imposes curfew on Simón Bolívar and Pedro María Ureña municipalities
To avoid situations of disorder, discomfort and the sowing of violence during the process of arrival of people to Venezuelan territory, as part of the protocol that the Bolivarian Government exercises within the framework of the Coronavirus contingency (Covid-19), the “president Nicolás Maduro has decided to impose a curfew in the Simón Bolívar municipalities (San Antonio del Táchira), and in the Pedro María Ureña municipality (Ureña locality), from 4 in the afternoon until 10 in the morning of the following day” .
The information was released by the Sector Vice-president for Communication, Culture and Tourism, Jorge Rodríguez, by offering a report on behalf of the Presidential Commission for the Follow-up, Attention and Control of the Coronavirus, from the Miraflores Palace, where he denounced that “Power factors that make life in the Colombian government are taking advantage of the generosity of the Bolivarian people of Venezuela, and they are trying to sneak in paramilitaries, deserters, mercenaries who come to sow violence in Venezuela”.
