Presidential Commission assesses mechanisms to combat Covid-19 with Chinese experts

The Presidential Commission for the Prevention, Attention and Control of Covid-19 held meeting this Wednesday with Chinese experts who are in the country, to combat the advance of the Coronavirus. These specialists from the People’s Republic of China have all the experience to deal with the situation that affects the entire world. The knowledge of these experts have been tested in the last three months, after an outbreak of the new Coronavirus detonated in the Asian nation in December 2019, which has already become a pandemic. In the group, from the sister country, there are specialists in infection control, laboratory tests, intensive medicine and traditional Chinese medicine; Among them is the director of the Jiangsu province hospital, Huang Mao, who upon his arrival on Monday in the country said: “China and Venezuela are together to overcome the Coronavirus”, in order to strengthen ties between the two nations. In the same order, the Chinese ambassador to Venezuela, Li Baorong, stressed that it is the first time that his country has sent experts in handling the new Coronavirus to Latin America. “We are convinced that the China expert group is going to carry out this important mission with all effort”, Baorong emphasized. As part of the permanent airlift between China and Venezuela, on Saturday, March 28, 55 tons of medical materials and drugs arrived in the country from China, in a shipment that was part of the second delivery of the Asian giant to Venezuela. A cargo containing 500,000 kits for rapid tests for the new Coronavirus, five million face masks, respirators, CT scanners and safety gloves, among other supplies to attend and prevent the spread of Covid-19, also arrived in the country. To date, this pandemic has produced a record in Venezuela of 143 infections, a scenario in which the National Government refines and deploys strategies such as collective social quarantine, alliances with sister nations and the self-diagnostic survey of the Patria System that to date has been answered by 16 million 489 thousand 198 people, of whom 61 thousand 739 people have already been visited through the house-to-house screening.
