President Maduro calls for the creation of a solidarity movement in rejection of US aggression

The president of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro proposed the creation of a solidarity movement in favor of Venezuela and in rejection of the aggression of the government of the United States (USA). From the Ayacucho hall of the Miraflores Palace, in Caracas, the head of state said that the platform should concentrate sectors of civil society, as well as the communicational, political and diplomatic field to expose the truth of Venezuela. The solidarity mechanism will support the legal action taken by the National Government against the US administration in the International Criminal Court (ICC), product of crimes against humanity committed against the people through unilateral coercive measures. “Let’s activate the social and political movements, the Bolivarian Congress of Peoples (…) It is time to seek justice in the International Criminal Court, is it difficult? Yes; is there any pressure? Yes, but the truth is capable of defeating lies”, he emphasized in a meeting with national and international media. The Dignitary also urged the United Nations system, human rights organizations and international intellectual and youth movements to raise their voice in support of the cause of Venezuelan justice. “I ask for your support and solidarity, to be brought to justice and go to the International Criminal Court to ask for justice for Venezuela, victim of unprecedented aggression”, he urged. “We are presented with the dignity of a people that resist and fight, a people that has been finding solutions to the very serious problems created by that US economic war against Venezuela”, he said. The head of state predicted a positive outcome for the South American cause, which is why he reiterated his request for support to the international community for the conquest of justice.
