President Maduro receives credentials from the Ambassador of Namibia

The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, receives on Thursday the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Namibia, who is residing in Cuba and concurrent to Venezuela, Samuel Hendrik Goagoseb. From the Salón Sol del Perú of the presidetial palace of Miraflores, in Caracas, the Venezuelan Head of State strengthens diplomatic ties with the African nation. Goagoseb, was born in 1959, in Rehoboth, Namibia and has served as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Local Government and Housing; of the Ministry of Security and Protection; of the Ministry of the Interior and Immigration; of the Ministry of Security and the Government House. On December 14, 2018, he presented credentials to the President of Cuba. Venezuela and Namibia established relations from the moment that this Republic obtained independence, in May 1990. Following the important support that Venezuela provided to Namibia in the process of emancipation, both countries have maintained diplomatic ties, which are increasingly important and strategic. Venezuela obtained support from the Namibian Government, in what was the granting of the certification of Venezuelan diamonds within the Kimberley Process scheme, where along with Angola and Botswana, the Bolivarian Republic enjoyed great acceptance and defense of its right to be certified. Currently, Venezuela and Namibia have 10 signed agreements.
