Venezuela pays tribute to the revolutionary leader Xoan Noya

On Tuesday, the Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, in the company of relatives, revolutionary leaders and ambassadors from 18 countries, paid a heartfelt tribute to the former Vice-minister of Foreign Relations and leader of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), Xoan Moya, on the occasion of his recent physical disappearance.

In his speech, the Minister Jorge Arreaza, praised the work of the young leader as a key piece for the construction of the Bolivarian Revolution and the Patriotic Youth. “In the first smile, in the first look, in the first young new man where I felt the presence of the Bolivarian Revolution, was in Xoan Noya; he did not like to appear, but he always outstanding, responsibilities were assigned to him due to his work and discipline”, he exclaimed. The ceremony took place in the Central Yard of the Venezuelan Yellow House and was attended by the People’s Power Minister for Youth and Sports, Pedro Infante, and Father Numa Molina, who expressed words of condolences to family and friends of the struggle. “We started each meeting of the Youth Party with the analysis of the international delegation led by Xoan Moya; extraordinary young guy, transparent, humble, simple, hardworking but always very cheerful; a tribute like this hurts a lot, but I think it is our responsibility, that every day from now on, the Youth of the Socialist Party of Venezuela rises with great strength, with soundness to keep building the Great Homeland” Minister Pedro Infante said. In the tribute, he was also honored with the Order Francisco de Miranda in its First Class, distinction created in 1939, designed to reward the services made to science, the progress of the country and outstanding merit. Politicians, social movements and young people described him as a capable, loyal, humble, disciplined man, an example of commitment and patriotic love. The President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, also extended his condolences through his Twitter account @NicolasMaduro “I deeply regret the physical departure of the young revolutionary Xoan Noya, a prominent activist of our PSUV Youth since its founding. I express my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends”, wrote the National Head of State.
