Venezuela and Iran continue to strengthen cooperative and brotherly relations
The Foreign Minister of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Jorge Arreaza, held on Thursday a working meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Jayad Zarif, in the framework of the 73rd session of the General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN).
During the diplomatic meeting between the two countries, they expressed their desire to continue working for the strengthening of multilateralism, the struggle against imperialism and neo-colonialism.
Recently, Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro held a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Hasán Rouhaní, before his address at the seventy-third session of the UN General Assembly.
During this high-level meeting, geopolitical issues and cooperation between the two nations were addressed, which constitutes the consolidation of the strategic alliances maintained by both countries.
